Premium Member When the Piano Bleeds Pain
It's 3 am,
her pillow soaked in regret.
Loss has left her spirit lonesome,
darkness a definition of insanity.

In the silence of the night,
vexatious voices vibrate inside
her somber state of mind.

Restless, she sits at her proverbial piano,
as a plethora of pain bleeds through
her fingers onto ebony and ivory...

Porcelain keys create
         Passionate sonatas
         Pitched in dulcet notes through
         Prewritten preludes that

My Piano Knows
My piano sits alone a lot of days,
Waiting for someone to come along who plays.
Usually that someone is my son or me,
But lately since he's in college, it's been me, you...

Premium Member The Story of the Grand Piano
She was a grand piano: grand in structure, grand in beauty, grand in quality
of sound. She had captured the heart of every pianist who had come to play in
the great hall. Once they touched her keys…they fell in love with the
celestial sounds...

Silent Piano
My late father
    played gorgeous music
on his Steinway
Debussy, Ravel, Beethoven
    along with his own compositions
He set eight of my poems to music
   I sang while he played
Every Hanukkah he would play "Rock...

Premium Member The Piano Speaks
Like shining jewels tossed into the air
Each note rings out with brilliant voice
Gifted fingers flying on ivory wings
This magic that makes my heart rejoice

Music that rocks me on gentle waves
Or ride where raging fires have been
Coloring the prisms that are my tears
The piano- evoking...

Piano Teacher

 Adored her timely teaching skills
Adored the way she never yelled nor screamed!
even when my Piano lesson bored the heck out of me and
my fingers hurt badly you see we had no piano at home
 so after school, you...

Old Piano Book
Now yellowed with age
a lonely music book,
hidden in every page
old musician dreams

of endless nights passed
struggling with melodies,
lovely trills and arpeggios,
etudes and symphonies;

a sentry keeping watch
over dirtied ivory keys
played and loved once
by souls of olden days;

labors of faceless men
held close to its breast,
strains still remembered
kept deep...

Internal Quote by Albert Einstein

On the eve of the invasion, the world braced for an upheaval.
Two ancient foes were poised for war, a war between Good and Evil.
For things are deathly dark and unsavory when Satan's soldiers ride,
and only acts of heroic bravery...

"The Blues Released"

Black velvet
sits between
what is read
yet unseen
crushing sullen passion
across ripe crimson lips
holding tight those
dancing fingers
seduced
gliding across
the Player’s
pristine alabaster
piano keys

burning
the bluest blue

December 14, 1965

"Mr. Samuel Cooke. Sam Cooke??
You been in that casket for three days..
You a long way from Chicago, son?"

Where am I?"

"This is the Judgement room.
In about ten minutes God...

Melodic passion, lilting harmonies lull my slender fingers,
when I play with the stringed keyboard, I sink into the mellifluous music, can feel the gentle keys under my fingertips softly as the alchemy notes cadence spasmodically.

Swirling colours lost in time, chimes of the...

The rickety rocking chair squeaks
Where Mama sits and stares each day
Music memories stored away
Our loved inheritance remains
Melodies cycling through our brains....
