Premium Member Electioneering For Contest
Simply hungry for power
Promising YOU can make a difference
You provide your manifesto
Wear your colours with bravado
Smile and kiss babies
Shake hands with the voters
Soothing sugar coated words
But they are shallow veiled lies
Promise the earth….
Then nothing will materialise

Contest- All that you are

Premium Member A Time For Me
When will the time for me arrive
when I no longer have to strive
to fight to keep myself alive?

When will I travel land and see,
no longer bound by misery,
but free to bask in revelry?

When will my heart be unafraid
of death that beckons to the grave,
and mocks...

Feeling the Same
Whatever has passed me by, it's winged shadow
Cast a chill that lingers in my eyes
And strangely feels like losing, dying or missing
Something never chanced to materialise.
Gone in a blink and whirlwind embargo,
Candle extinguished at pinpoint of gutter;
Soft wax dripped...

In the In-Between time
the letters materialise
words lost, suspended
in the Forever Gloaming

Winter Fantasia
Winter Fantasia.

Snowman, his coat a trillion frosty threads...crotched by Jack,
the naughty mischief maker.
Each crystal cast perfect by Boreas. #

Acrostic Word
Grey-robed ladies materialise at castles
Hideous red-eyed entities hover in woods
On horseback, headless riders gallop past
Silently, spectres watch and cause unease
Throwing objects at exorcists, spirits laugh

For Andrea’s 5-letter word Acrostic contest...

"Transport Terminals"

When ghosts find ghosts
they walk through the
core of each other
expecting knowledge
of the other’s being
it’s surprising mirrors
are considered
transport terminals
eerily reflective
otherworldly portals
between there
and here
past, present, future
managing the transfer
easily

but it's never
that easy

when you’re a ghost
blueprints are beggars
to transparency

fingers slip...

“Azure blue sky dreamer.
Where you bound today of mystifying days?
Can you hear me through that enigmatic fog?
Your Milky Way incarnate hyper trance phase.”

“Fellow wonderland adventurer.
I’ve been pole vaulting otherworldly golden orb frontiers.
As I bounce on a trampoline imagination rules.
In cerebral stuntman recess I...

So Near-So Far
I thought we were there
We thought we were there
We felt touching it
We could feel the weight

Our pains were gone
Our sorrows were gone
Our eyes could not believe
This was the impossible

The sun was shining very bright
Everything was in line
All dreams flowing in the head
Stars flickering and playing...

Premium Member Tender Warm Winter Kisses
Tender warm winter kisses
evoke the warmth of summer in my heart
and in place of snow
flowers flourish and grow
nourished with tender care
that we both share.

Pure white doves
fly through a clear blue sky
butterflies dance
and rainbows materialise
I see the most wondrous
story within her eyes.

True love is the greatest...

Elasticated Red Cabbage
“Everybody duck, everybody run, and everybody hide. Quickly now. Hurry. IT is happening now. All run run run” In haste the message spoke. Radiating booming voice from the tissue box placed in the middle of the living room floor. All moved. All heard. All listened....

Dont Ever Feed the Poor
Don't ever feed the poor,
Let their yearning,
For hunger stay alive;
More the hunger, starvation,
The stronger momentum
Of the slogans are;
Complicate them in religion,
Race, and parity;
Give them promise,
Which don't materialise;
Is the first and last rule
Of all political system;
The day you feed hunger,
Give clothing shelter,
Poverty wanes,
Chairs of...

Time To Heal
Time to Heal
Warmth floods through me as peace descends.
Finally weekend has arrived
A time to relax and heal after a brutal week.
Cabin fever sets in. but laziness wins over.
I’ll stay home and curl up with the TV and dogs.
Waiting for a message or phone call that’s...

The emergence thereof, a cycle begins
Of different forms – developing
Exceeding growth of varied rate
Conditions there to germinate

To reproduce they fertilise
New plants to materialise
Protection of the embryo
Seeds produced, equipped to grow

Soil with moisture and daylight
A season with conditions right
Outer case of seed to split
Cells divide at...

Merging the trinity

By: Erastus “Popyeny” Shipuleni
@December 2020

Not always do I get what I want,
Neither does my request materialise as requested,
Nor desire implemented as desired.

                    Do I...
