Premium Member Inside a Japanese Garden: With Added Note
cherry blossoms fall
confetti cast to the wind
tumbling to the ground

orange koi swimming
summer rain upon the pond
lotus of soft blush

bamboo whispering
their voices sing at twilight
serenade the moon

fire fades from the sun
low upon the horizon
bowing to the sea
rays of light shimmering gold
sunset crosses the threshold

~Winter~
(Haiku suite)

Winters approaching
autumn mournfully whispers
leaves on ground whither

Squirrels run, stock food
the trees starting to get bared
weather gets more cold

Snow will be falling
kids will make snowmen, snowballs
time to wear a coat.

Hinomaru - Japanese Flag
rising blood red sun -
   spatters mount Fuji as
   whalers fly flag

I wrote this poem to try to write what a country's flag might
represent to an individual. I love whales and dolphins so this
is what it represents to me....

Limerick: Once Japanese Robot lied about its age

Once Japanese Robot lied about its age
To an American Robot under age
	At marriage registry
	Paid haemophrodite fee
That night in shed they locked jaws in mad glad rage.

One said: “If only I knew your true old age
I would not have...

~Seashells~
(Hotan)

Seashells are pretty
They are very colorful
Can be found at the seashore
By the sea
Walking by the beach
There, they show
For our very eyes
As waves lapping come and go,
With the ebb and flow.

Ancient Haiku
These are translations of some of the oldest Japanese waka, which evolved into tanka, renga and haiku.

While you decline to cry,
high on the mountainside
a single stalk of plumegrass wilts.
—O no Yasumaro (circa 711), translation by Michael R. Burch

Hush, cawing crows; what rackets you make!
Heaven's...

There is a lilt to their eyes, a sassy to their attitude.
They know themselves well, drawn in living color.
Alive, dancing through their day, being admired greatly.
Characters who are not afraid to be themselves.

A trusty funny sidekick always building up the heroine
Who falls in love with...
