Yours and Mine
The paths wrapped around your waist
Lead me to a special kind of place
I take trips from hip to hip
In fact, I've made a sabbatical out of it without losing grip
I've always thought that your left was your strongest side
But when it comes to you, it's on my right; you will forever reside
I wipe the product of your fears in the form of my tears
It's the only way I ever want to survive
It breaks my heart to see you crying, baby
I find myself loving you so much more when you're alive
Green eyes, shining in blue skies
Such natural disasters when she cries
Like the climate, you never know what weather you're going to get
But there's no denying you're the type of habit; that I never want to quit
The earths rotating, I am shaking
I hope you turn to my arms in time
Tides are changing; I'll always be waiting
The two of us together are one of a kind
I've been to both your hemispheres in my long years
I still can't pick my favorite place in time
The contour of your lips;
smooth like continents drift
When they're pressed tightly to mine
I'll never forget the way that they taste
Blue skies reflection in green eyes; we are, but just moments in time
In one hundred years, who will remember that we were ever here
Our lives and their memories are just simply going to be lost to time
So let's make a pack to live at this moment that is simply yours and mine
