Your Downfall
Silent was the war that thundered battles in our home
The bedding sheets were all stained red – I used them to disguise
the bitterness of self defence: I had to kill your lies!
I knew that time would be my friend when I gave up the fight
My armour plates corroded green – I used them to delay
the call to arms, my heart would drum: “My enemy to slay!”
Your poverty of intellect devoured all your dreams
Like petals soiled, your rose shed tears – You used them, then obtained
financial gain; parental fame. A right to be maintained
I knew that time would be my friend when I began to fight
Like cauldron boiled, subsided fear – I trampled over you
Custodian. My heart now chants: “My offspring now delight”
