You Can't Corrupt Death

**You Can't Corrupt Death** In shadows deep, where secrets lay, A truth, unyielding, holds its sway. With glinting gold and silver lies, We dance, we boast, while time defies. No wealth can bribe, no charm can sway, The cold embrace that steals our day. Death wears no mask, no jeweled crown, It comes for all, from high to brown. Rich or poor, it knows no folks, A silent thief — it creeps within. The laughter fades, the music stills, In tender hands, the moment kills. In youth’s bright bloom or age’s dust, It claims us all, it claims our trust. No promise made, no vow to keep, Can tame the tide when shadows creep. With every breath, a fleeting sigh, A whisper soft, a final cry. Yet silence reigns, its language clear, No words are spoken, just a tear. So heed this truth, let voices cease, For in the stillness, find your peace. You can't corrupt what has no price, In death's cold arms, we all suffice. Embrace the night with open eyes, For every end is where life lies. In quiet moments, we all meet, In silent grace, our hearts discreet.
