Winter Wonderland

Walking steadily in the winter sun, Wondering when the heavy snow shall come; Hoping for the winter wonderland’s fun, Restricting my heart to love and succumb, Waiting for joy time hoping I have some, While beautiful hymns I recall and hum. Snow seems like a swan in magical dance; I looked around me with sorrowful eyes; Bloodstained the brilliance of the ambience In amongst the gloom of war, I heard cries, While the whiteness was only a disguise, In bed, I perceive, sob and agonize. When a new morning is upon the birds, The fate of the wounded soldiers arise; The repair of their hearts needs more than words Their place is not far off from the dark skies. The winter is bright it is also in disguise; For the bitter end makes them realise. Hoping not to be alone anymore, And all wars and sadness I will ignore.
