Winter Soon, Winter Now

Now the sun declines to linger, Wan light soon gives up the ether, Too frail to fight. Now dusk promises no warm black, Blows chill air on the cool day’s back, Hurries its flight. Now long night shadows next day’s dawn, Gloom is by a surly sky spawned, While stern hues bloom. Now noon struggles to fire the land, From huddled streets its passion banned, As cold stars loom.

Your imagery is only surpassed by the fact that you made me really wonder "what kind of a poem is this?" I had never heard of a tail-rhyme, but it is beautiful, and I am going to figure out a tail-rhyme now, as I like this poem in a hearty way.

Thank you, Caren. It's my first tail-rhyme, and it was quite fun to play with. Go for it! :)
