There are stars to wish upon no matter where you are My star is always there so you will know you are never alone All the stars in the sky remind us to keep things simple Stars for Lady, Champ, Dutchess's always sparkle to show they are together and happy Star for each of our loved ones passed twinkle stardust upon us Stars falling are to be caught and put in your pocket These keep us spontaneous ' Stars offer guidance when in need Only takes a few minutes to believe There is a star I look to when I am missing you Every night there is a star the brightest one you see it is God watching over us' as we go to sleep ' July 3, 2018 Why Are There Stars Contest by Julie Ward

So many nice reasons why there are stars. The last one might well be labeled as The Star of the stars of stars...Best wishes for the contest. ~ Gershon

It's been way too long since I've been 'free' to read others so here I am at 4am on a sleep-high that could have burst me into giggles, but this poem was so touching that it felt precious to me and somber is where I landed. By somber I mean in a poetry-adrenaline 'rush' way. Just lovely. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
