Whiskey Dreams
Once upon a midnight dreary,
Drunk and stupid not thinking clearly
I formed an opinion that i could fly
So i stepped off a ledge to give it a try
I could feel the breeze whiz past my ears
I never felt so free, i had no fear
I finally wore a smile upon my face
For in the universe i found my place
Then half way down my vision cleared
I could see the ground was drawing near
My smile disappeared, my expression flat
I was about to scream then came the splat
I bolted upright in my bed
I checked my pulse i was not dead
I lay back down with a heavy sigh
To whiskey and flying i say bye bye.
