Where Have All the Women Gone

It's wonderful~how some women's shoes are delightful and feminine. Yet women dress more and more like men each day. It's very sad in the USA, to watch femininity quickly pass way. Why wear pretty underwear inside while dressing Paul Bunyan on the outside? Why get facial waxes, when a beard and a mustache, matches your mannish clothes and shoes? What's the need for Dooney and Burke expensive purses? When sweaters your deceased grandpa would not wear, you flash with unabashed flair! What happened to daughters who once dressed as girls? All have fallen and been totally destroyed in a giant, omnivorous jean-factory world. Why do sons and daughters dress like fathers? And why this fetish for masculinity? And the crushing decimation of our femininity? January 24, 2020 11am PST

I have to admit I am horrified when I attend church and people are in blue jeans, or a funeral and people wear shorts and cut offs. It seems disrespectful to me.

How awful! Women are beautiful, always. I won't be here to see what kids will look like in the future, My fear is they will think nothing of dressing like bums. The worse, the better? The legging phase is not for all legs. And what happened to real shoes? Running shows are not shoes. A nation in gym shoes...really! Ick. Panagiota xx

I love nothing better than to dress up in my finery, it makes you feel good and hopefully one looks good too! Nowadays folk no longer feel the need to dress up when they go to the theatre, so to my dismay I often see ripped jean's and shorts in amongst much smarter attire. As you say they often dress the same so it is hard to distinguish between male and female! Loved your poem Panagiota, a real conversation piece. Love & Hugs Ann xx

Hello Ann...yes it is a conversation piece! I feel exactly as you do. My poems The Greek Festival and the Greek Festival, the Sequel, echo your thought. I was hoping the English were not as ridiculous in dress as we are here.Ripped clothing is great if you are homeless. In theatre? Wow, Ann. I don't want to go out anymore. It's like a freak show. Dressing can inspire people like a poem can. Nothing nspiring in being a "slob" the excuses here are comfortable and expandable in clothes or shoes. Nothing healthy is supporting men or women in becoming TENT size. Why? Heart attacks, cancer, strokes, dementia. I, too, love to dress up.))). Pisces Panagiota xx

- I see this picture clearly ... and you're right ... we have to go back as far as the 50/60's ... with famous designers like Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior - Among women there were dresses and skirts that applies ... there are not many pants to look at a woman :) - Women were women and men were men :) - Today we should not have hair on the body, just on the head - But the fact is that body hair has many important functions: ) - A wonderful poem, Panagiota :) - Have a wonderful weekend :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Anne- Lise. Thank you. I feel so alone in my feelings. That makes two of us. Even in 1980 it was very clear to distinguish the sexes. The abominable clothes sold on QVC are from h_ll. they bought out HSN. HSN hosts now all wear pants. Men wear man buns and make-up. We can't be the only two who see this!! Body hair has functions.Razors now sold on TV for private parts? This move, steeped in an androgynous society is frightening and growing... Look at movies from the 70's and 80's.imagine Christ's mother dressed as a shepherd? Or worse, Christ in a dress? Panagiota xx there is a reason to be beautiful! Let's see who else comments
