What We Wear

What we wear
    How we look
  Our wardrobes plucked
    from the latest books

  Fashion rules us
    Clothes hide who we are
  First make a few billion
    ~ Then dress bizarre

I stay in my pyjamas and dressing gown, longer than I should these days. I think the quality of clothes today is almost nonexistent, with Loose buttons, poor stitching etc. Well-made clothes are too expensive for most people to buy these days. I respect people who show their individuality and dress for fun, but sometimes this is unacceptable in the workplace. I don't like "Old women's clothes" Or mutton dressed as lamb. Quality, Style and Comfort for me, not necessarily in that order.

Sad but true Gershon. It's so nice to be retired. No more having to worry about what to wear to work every day or having to dress the "right way" for interviews. Who decided that one? I wear whatever the heck I want now. It's so liberating to dress for comfort and not care what others think. P.Js best comfort clothes ever Lol :-D

I'm not quite as 'liberated' as you, but I enjoy not putting on an uncomfortable suit every day. Hallelujah!

This is a funny one and so true. Vineyard Vines and Channel in the grocery stores in wealthy Connecticut. Pajamas and slippers in other grocery stores in Upstate New York, where I live now. I don't own the expensive stuff anymore, but I don't own 'true' pajamas either. Looks like I'm going to be hungry. (0:

I'm kind of in the middle of the fashion spectrum as well, Marikate. Here's to moderation, (or is it mediocrity? lol). Smiles, Gershon

Ain’t that’s the truth these days; dress to to impress.
