What Time Has Done
no dreams at three
no one at sea
winds in from the west
most of beauty at rest
the moon scans the tides
ripples even on both sides
century old stones lay on the shore
eroded by waves from days before
there is silence but no one hears
no one there all those years
time has gone by, and nature was alone
no one saw what changes have shown
like a page in a story book
that turned but no one looked
no one saw what time has done
stars captured all but kept silent and said none.
the sights and sounds of the natural revisions
gone unnoticed, for no one was there to make decisions
perhaps it will never be known for no one saw
only the stars can tell but won’t speak of natures law
