What Does a Silent Wimp Do

A mean boy bulled me, then another joined him and there were two. Three more girls arrived to call me names and kick me about. A gang now, I counted, and it truly made me depressed and blue. A duck, a goose, a horse ran up. Owl joined them, called me Miss. Pout. What is a silent wimp like me to do? I had already thrown up on my shoe. I was scared and mad and sad too. What is a silent wimp like me to do? They put me down. They slammed me into a bad place. They called me names, they made fun of my face. They were mean and ugly. They showed me absolutely no grace. I was losing ground here, they were winning the race. What is a silent wimp like me to do? I had already thrown up on my shoe. I was scared and mad and sad too. What is a silent wimp like me to do? One of my stand-up guy classmates yelled “hold up hey! He reminded them of my worth, and he told them to back off His kind words came running up and knocked them out of the way. I was duly embarrassed and humiliated. I started to cough. Why are you silent? My hero asked. You are a great friend. You are trustworthy. You are well-liked and kind. You know how to keep a confidence until the bitter end. These words wandered back to the back of my mind. I did not feel good. I felt bad, you see. These thugs had done a number on me. It is hard to remember how great I am at knee bends When I am being made fun of by those I thought were my friends.
