Weekends Are the Best Part of Life
Weekends Are the Best Part of Life
By Elton Camp
After he has worked hard at his job all week,
Joe feels the weekend days are to rest or sleep
Although his wife works the same amount as he,
No rest on the weekend need she ever hope to see
“Irma, will you hurry up and get yourself out here
And when you come, bring me a fresh can of beer
And popcorn and sandwiches would be quite nice.
Of that leftover pizza, how about warming a slice.”
Joe continues to act like he is some kind of a king
To whom Irma, anything he wants should bring
“Ah, now, this is the very best time of life for me.
I just love to rest and eat while I watch the big TV.”
