Walk softly Ode to my walking stick

Loyal companion carved from a sturdy oak. This eternal gratitude will never be revoked. You've been there for me more then some human folk. I think I may be in love with you and that is no joke. Please stay by my side until the day I croak, if perchance we come upon a very nasty bloke, I will turn you upside down and give him a poke!

Lovely Ode, at once passionate and humorous. "You've been there for me more then some human folk. I think I may be in love with you and that is no joke." Love these lines. Sending you much love dear Nancy!

What a fun read Nancy. It brought back memories of my favorite oak tree we had in our yard growing up. A beautiful ode you have woven here, well done

Hi Arthur, Well, I do love mine and it gets strangers to hold more doors, and a lot of empathy as well. Blessings to you and your walking stick..

Lol, love it Nancy, I've still got mine, it was a godsend before my op. We went everywhere together, I'm keeping it too. No one knows what lies ahead. Enjoy your weekend. Tom

Hi Tom, Great hearing from you. My physical therapist thinks I am growing too dependent on it but I think it gives me character and more confidence with the uneven asphalt around here. Have a blessed day.
