TRUE LOVE LOST

It was the letter she never sent To say we were meant For each other This her aunts had always said Her letter would have put that to bed No room for any other No reply from her arrived To the letter I'd contrived That created bother Destined I'd thought for life together Now our bond severed of its tether So our love did smother That rift sent us far apart Our love elsewhere to impart In the arms of another.

Hello Denis, a wonderful and well inked poem on the loss of love. Sometimes so many memories and so many regrets. - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel
