I want you to feel this experience as I did
the glow of the sun and ripple of water
paddles stroking blue
on a quest
bird songs echoing
taste, smell the movement of air
with thoughts positive floating
a storm
on the shore my canoe a shelter
far from the river
and lost
walking among forest trees
the green hush of wilderness touching
anger, fear, disgust
on, on, on and on through the tangle
towards the sound of water
grasp the sight of the coolness
feel the aura, sense it
deep in the green with courage and faith
on a quest to find self and I did as I float down the river proud
