To Poetry
We fell in love hundreds of times and buried the remnants of each like a curse or a prayer somewhere deep in our bones
These memories carved out the stones we built our walls with
We wear the names of each heartbreak on the collars of our shirts then loudly exclaim
Hasn't life always had us by the neck
We learn to live with disappointment
Some of us heavier than others, these stones are to much to carry alone
But I can make my burden beautiful
