The thorn asked the scarlet petal, "Why is it gardeners admire your beauty and are intoxicated by your fragrance, yet they fear a prick from me?" The petal replied, "because you are a harsh reminder that behind everything beautiful there is pain."

I could see this as a many page dialog the beauty and the pain. Life's entwined and ingrained. Can't have one without the other.

This is so profound, and meaningful, and so true, sometimes we admire and love the fragrance of beautiful flowers and roses but fear the thorns, or are reluctant to touch them. Just like in our lives, people love the beauty but not the darkness, they fear that. And also behind everything beautiful theres pain, not everyones willing to take the pain. Deep and philosophical. I loved this! So well delivered and phrased!
