This Is What Karma Feels Like
Creeping inside me, upon me, like dawn,
the realization I'd become a pawn.
The latest casualty to your psycho games,
when all's said and done, there's just me left to blame.
Where we not equal, a commensurate?
partners in crime, a clone, duplicate?
The masters of muppets we pulled at the strings,
we'd tempt them with treasures and favourite things.
They think we don't know they want you as the prize,
their rose tinted glasses cannot see through the lies.
Your floozies, your groupies, your hussies, harem,
all star in your cheap, egotistical dream.
I kept off your radar with no sudden moves,
there's nothing to feel now but betrayed and bruised.
How dare you invole me, defy me, trespass,
and slash me apart with my own heart of glass,
That you proudly display as a trophy award,
to hang along side the pursuit I ignored.
