There Could Be a Place
There could be a place
Where nothing survives,
No green leaf trees
There is nothing alive.
Gone are the sun, the wind, and the rain
Signs of evil, torture, and pain,
Houses are vacant, blown up cars
Blinds are open, no locks on doors.
It's hard to believe
Not a glimmer of life,
Gone are the days
And black are the nights.
No warnings given
No chance to be free,
It happens so fast
No time to leave.
In this part of the world
Where mad men reign,
So many dead
So many afraid.
There could be a place
That will exist no more,
If maniac rulers
Use weapons of war.
