The Truth Within
**The Truth Within**
I fell in love with my soul,
Not with the outcomes, not with the goal.
Detached from results, free from the chase,
In the mirror of life, I found my place.
For what is trauma but a seed of the past?
Shaped by the whispers that forever last.
The child who watched as we fought and we cried,
Learns from those echoes, from what we denied.
Healing is the journey, not a race to run,
Have you found peace when all’s said and done?
In every wound, there’s a story untold,
But the deepest truth is found within the soul.
We wear our masks, afraid to be pure,
Reflecting our doubts, unsure and insecure.
Seeking in others what we can’t create,
Chasing validation as love turns to hate.
But freedom is found in silence, in space,
Where we no longer need to save face.
For the universe lives, alive and true,
And it whispers softly, “The answer is you.”
Let them walk away, let them leave behind,
They were never yours, just passing time.
For those who stay are mirrors so clear,
They reflect the love you hold so dear.
So stand alone, stand tall in your truth,
Rediscover the innocence of your youth.
No need for compliments, no need for show,
In the depth of your soul, let your light glow.
To be free is to know, from inside out,
That love is within, without a doubt.
And when they leave, and when you're alone,
You’ll find that your heart is a world of its own.
Love yourself like the sun loves the sky,
With no need for reasons or asking why.
For in the end, when all’s said and done,
You are your own moon, your own star, your own sun.
