The third of May
The third of May
A long time ago
How can I forget the day
I had to sing hurray
To my beautiful baby twins
Kissing their cheeks is all I could all day
The scent of their tiny bodies blessed my soul
The sound of their cry almost made me run mad
But hugging them swallowed all worries
Seeing them grow was the wonderful story to tell
My neck grew long like that of the giraffe for pride
Even though my neck was long I couldn’t see the future
That on the same third of May I will be sleeping,
Sleeping in the cold lonely dark grave
Not able to see my beautiful baby girls grow,
Glow and grow into beautiful young ladies
Their happiness and greatness is my prayer from the eternal house.
In memory of our beloved Mom
