The Stink
Words spewing rapidly
With poisonous stings
Clawed through the air
To reach its destination
Recipient undecided
To run or to stay
As she rambled on
In words his ear couldn't hear
She saw eyes' faraway stare
And rumpled face
Legs propelled her forward
For mouth to inquire the problem
He, in a conundrum
Decided to bail
Hands grabbing belly
And mouth uttering excuses forced legs to sprint
Out of the safety of her reach
Legs bent to rest
And mouth exhaled
"How could a mouth stink so".
