The Statue That Almost Was

Bronze and stone, they had a dream: They commisioned a statue, I guess they thought it would bring A semblance of remembrance; Something to which they could cling. The artist had his virtue* And created what would seem A semblance of resemblance To one Martin Luther King. Alas, it was not their dream. *merit
