The Spirit of God
A bright light shining in the night,
dispelling the darkness of darkness.
A lamp unto my feet,
lighting my pilgrim way.
The Master Refiner's white hot flame,
purging the dross from my soul,
leaving pure gold,
for a vessel of service to the King.
A glowing fire upon life's hearth,
driving the chill from winter's night,
restoring my trembling soul
with the cheerful warmth of heavenly Love.
