The river that runs beneath the sea
I woke up to a very dry spell
that originates from the pit of hell
There is dryness all around me
and river is flowing beneath the sea
The fire is blazing in the east
and the temperature has risen
to a hundred and twenty degree
the sun is burning
in the north and the south
and the western desert
is blowing dust all around.
I am caught up in the middle of it
And the power of truth open
Its mouth and the tenderness of
My youth began to shout
A simple flash back
held me captive on the track
It was a primary school scene
that evolved out of my career dream,
I have always wanted to be medical doctor
And the vision came alive when I acted a scene
In front of all the teachers, principal staff and students
In my Dover Castle Primary school
It was just like yesterday when I acted the play
And I won a big prize for saving someone’s life
“Emergency, emergency, Dr Phillips is calling…
Please send an ambulance, a patient is dying
“A patient is dying, I need back up help”
I was examining a patient on
the stretcher that had a concussion
from a terrible accident
the flash back was in split second from my
primary school drama scene acted several decades ago
I turned around but no one was around
except for me standing here
And the morning continue to bake like a
Pineapple upside down cake with
little moisture inside and an abundant
love burning from the side
the trees are sagging in the humid breeze
and the light in the sky began to die
I stand in the middle of the road looking at the
Traffic twirling around the city
And the people marching in
a straight line through the town
There is no water around
And the leaves began to turn brown
Autumn is around the corner and
The river beneath the sea has a story
For you and me, the flash back is true
And the message inside has come live
Get ready for the ride.
