The Night Moon
Once in a blue moon, long ago,
A massive Mars-sized object struck below,
With a mighty BOOM, the Moon was born,
A glowing, silver light from night till morn.
It takes 27 days to make its round,
Orbiting Earth without a sound.
The Sun’s the brightest star in sight,
But the Moon outshines the sky at night.
Though not a star, it shines so bright,
Lighting up the dark, peaceful night.
It changes shapes, from full to small,
The Moon’s the brightest light of all.
