Wow, this one takes a sharp turn from soothing to intense! It starts off as a tender lullaby, but that last line delivers a chilling, protective fierceness. The contrast is striking and really drives home the idea of a mother’s unwavering devotion—and the lengths she’d go to in order to protect her child.

Sounds about right. Mothers may be afraid, when alone, but become dangerous and heroic as bears when they are in protect mode.
