The Memories of the Gods
By the light of dawn and,
The sunset, we watch the ocean,
As it swallows up the earth.
We realize life begins with the sun.
We rely on the food of the Gods.
They give us the rain,
That nurtures our bodies and crops.
In the days of young the Gods,
Protects us as we praise the Gods and,
The Gods of 12.
Many rebelled against the Gods.
Men turned their backs on the Gods, and then,
Men died, crops died out,
Mortal Men were destroying themselves.
The Gods looked down from Olympus,
Their hearts were broken, all was lost, and,
As was the Gods.
Yet, believers are many even today.
We praise them still,
In our hearts and minds.
They hear our cries and prayers.
After millions of years,
They appear before us, answering our prayers.
