The man cold

The man cold that I said I had got.
A man cold, it was not.
I found out today it was man flu.
No wonder I was in such a hue.
I went out today I must tell.
Still was feeling so unwell.
Called in the chemist shop I did do.
Spoke to the pharmacist I did its true.
He confirmed what I had got.
Was not a man cold, no it was not.
He never mentioned it was man flu!
But I could tell he wanted to.
He said there was a lot about.
Of the man flu! Without a doubt.
Alas he also said to me.
It strikes again, as a man cold you see.
So I went straight back home you know.
Staggered up the stairs did so.
And now i'm back in bed am so.
Not with the flu.
No.
But with that blinking man cold you know.
