The Light in His Eyes

When I see him, I feel weightless, floating— His smile, his laughter, A wonder so bright, It brings endless joy to my heart. I’m left breathless Every time he’s near. I love all of him— Everything he offers, And even if he gave nothing, Still, I would love him the same. He holds the happiness I seek. He acts tough, But I know, Behind the walls he’s built, Something great waits to be seen. Every time he smiles, His eyes glow— They shine like stars, And I am left speechless By their light. His voice alone weakens me. Words fall short To express how I feel— He ignites the fire within. It’s like I’m drowning In emotions I can’t understand, Yet somehow, They make me feel I could conquer the world. I could write endlessly Of what he means to me, But the pages would fill, Overflowing— Still, it wouldn’t be enough To capture it all.
