The King of Glory Comes
The King of glory comes to remove our soul’s unrest
To redeem us from death to give us life, and His eternal rest.
Follow to the judgement hall see the Lord of Life arraigned;
Grievous misery and pain to bear, our punishment He sustained.
Sacrificed upon a tree He paid the price we owed
For every sin of thought and word for every woe, we sowed.
“It is finished” hear Him cry; His sacrifice complete; His lifeless clay
In our tomb was laid to be raised again on the third day.
“As with Adam all died, so also in Christ all are made alive;”
Through our Lord Jesus Christ we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
“If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins
And cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Baptized into a living faith,
Sanctified by the Holy Spirit, we live to honor Christ who loved us
And gave Himself for us. “If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord
And believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
No shame will come to those who believe in Christ Jesus.
Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the preaching of our Lord.
“Through our baptism we were buried into Christ’s death, so as Christ was raised from the dead by God the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.”
In this manger our Savior rests, Holy sinless Son of God by the Holy Ghost conceiving born of Mary virgin mild; enter Lord into our lives filled with anguish, sin and grieving. Bring me ever closer to Your manger knowing the grace bestowed to me; here I will find my Savior, and a blessed life eternally.
