The Image
Humility is a fantasy
Born out of a narcissistic mind
He who appears to care so much
Convinces fools with niceties - most times
The image pushes away the camera
Yet poses with a smile
He donates money
Anonymous - In devilish style
His gospel flows freely
He has a restless appetite for the applause
We stare in admiration - amazement
Convinced - he's doing it for the cause
When he’s exposed we say there's Karma
A self-justification for ignoring all the signs
We were mesmerized by his performance
We silently idolized
Beware of the image
The image could be a reflection of you
Perhaps this isn't about admiring him
As much as it is about desiring admiration too?
