The Golden Poets
Poets are like gold these days
their beautiful sayings and touching ways
tell such stories of kindness, drama, sorrow
things of the future like many tomorrows
they are so passionate about what they do
they let out the most humble of feelings with which to do
to meet hearts and souls suddenly and release the many of you
with sincerity. They have a way of grabbing you and making you cry
with the deepness of pen and emotions flying across each sentence and why
their sad is so sad, their love is so deep, their laugh is so real, the blue of the sky
they say like we need to hear it, we're so near it
it becomes dear to us and then becomes clearer
we hang on each of their words and wait for more
we love them and can't get enough, "don't shut that door!"
We'll wait for them, buy their books, escape through them
sit back and relax in a tub full of bubbles and it feels like a sin
she loves him, he loves her, they astound me with feeling
then they quit on each other and they send me reeling
how perfect and the suspense and the beauty of it all
I'd love to call the author and ask questions and make more calls
I love it, then I can't take it, they are so real in every way
I want them with me and invite them to stay
how can they right so perfect so feeling and such
it's got to be more than just a freaky thing or luck
they capture it so well they are so very talented too
to take you places you always wanted to go and see through
the camera all about them and this takes you there and snaps
pictures and makes you feel like it's no way a trap
but a thing of beauty and you know you'll be back
they are so beautiful,( all these poets ) so special each one
you'll laugh and cry and be amazed with the feelings of fun
they are so valuable in life, don't be without them
they will take you all over the globe and back at the gym
I have favorites, too many to say
I'll read anyway, all of them one day
they say it all in my heart and my soul
they are my strength should I be told
I love them you see, they are pure gold
