The Garden Of Bliss
I lay down languidly in a garden of jade
The sky looks green and the water too
The Sun looks to have a greenish tinge
Have I put on my green glasses? No clue
No, I am in a garden that looks unearthly
The once-soaring birds are perched on greenish waters
And the fish flying in the air singing to the clouds
Dogs are engrossed in discussing urgent matters
The grass feels soft and bulbous
The insects are dancing with a buzz of joy
The caterpillar decides to come out of its cocoon
No need to be a butterfly if it can dance and enjoy
There is plenty of sunshine but it’s not hot
It’s snowing sometimes but it’s not freezing cold
This seems to be a place of some wizardry
The grass beneath me clings like a lover’s hold
I don’t know if I am in a different world or dreaming
I pinch myself again and again and feel the pain
My senses are intact and my faculties too
All I need is my beloved, there’s so much to gain
