The Final Stunt
I immerse myself in your subtleness
And romanced with your innate madness
I look for a place to reside
So that I can have you close by my side
I wandered around the solitary room
Trying to hold back my tears
I just want to touch the curiosity inside you
And wet your lips in a landslide victory
I will be there to cheer you on
and sing your favorite song
Let me warm your heart in my bosom
And wrap my body around your pride
The child in me has brought out a woman in you
You have become my innate fantasy
And have embraced my external reality
Every night I go to bed on a wet soaked pillar
Waiting and hoping for someone to tell me something
Or give me a number that I can call
Not through a third or fourth party
I want to communicate directly with you
Sometimes I think about it but then I absorb
myself in work to forget about it
So the nights drag on and mind kept traveling along
I can hear your heart beat
And I can feel the anxious rhythm in your feet
And when your smile it lights up your entire face
And I can feel your sudden embrace
Everyone waited anxiously to see you come
The door man, handyman and camera men
Your limousine rolls slowly by
And your body woman opens the door gently
You came out of the car without a frown
But there was nobody around
I watched you walking along the red carpet
And you did not look left or right
You kept your eyes on the goal
And seize control of the moment
No one was there to walk you down the aisle
But you walked briskly with confidence
As if I was by your side
Cameramen and photographers
lined up on both sides of the Isle
Waiting to photograph the bride
This was your moment to steal the show
So you marched right into the room and waited patiently
For the host to come out of the rest room
Finally the host comes marching along
To give you a proper welcome
What on earth was going on?
The host was late but you made it through the gate
I could feel you holding your breath
And wondering if it was another coincident or humiliation
Just as I thought of it, the cameramen and photographers
Raced through the door and occupy the floor
The host had her moment to make that final atonement
I did not like that stunt
but deep down in my spirit I knew why it was done
I wanted you to have a great welcome
because you are so appealing
I am always a person of words
Words that come from the depth of my heart
They are not just words trembling on my lips
They are words that are wrapped up in a gift
They are full of passion and packed with devotions
Yesterday I saw you smiling,
and I couldn’t resist the hunger that is welled up inside,
it is that part of me that is always yearning
And that part of me will never die
So keep the fires burning for the tides are turning
We have come a long way and this is our day.
You are here to stay and you are not going away.
