The End
THE END
A small flame flickers in the darkness, a candle held up high
All around no motion, but no one questions why?
Am I all alone now? There must be someone here
The flame flickers so madly, the end I feel is near
One bomb was all they’d planned on explode then sit and wait
End of life, as we know it, destroyed by greed and hate
The flame is growing dim now, I know I’m all alone
Hate has overcome us, turned our love to stone
Darkness all around me, I’ll never find out why
My fellow human beings allowed this earth to die.
