The Dream
Last night I had a vivid dream
Where I met the Lord Supreme
Illuminated by brilliant light
We discussed the worlds plight
God didn't care about your tweet
Or how many friends you delete
Wasn't impressed with face book shares
Or how your profile picture compares
The Creator wants the world to know
He sees how uncomfortable it is to grow
His sons flesh was considered weak
because he chose to serve the meek
All of us so incredibly unique
Our human nature doesn't always think
of the multiple consequences that we speak
how it causes other hearts to sink
I have been a victim of both
innocent and malicious dictum
I have also been a perpetrator
Oh damn that human instinct generator
The hardest thing in the world to do
Is smile when the world is askew
So I offer a simple reminder, God Loves You
That is the only certainty that is true
I awoke in a glorious fantasy field
rejuvenated and feeling semi-healed
As I was inspired, I felt compelled to yield
Towards the face of our gentle human shield
