The Door of Uncertainty I stand at the door of uncertainty I have a difficult choice to make My sweaty palm grasps the handle My heart and the clock beat rapidly in sync Time is my enemy, she is relentless The ringing doorbell is a loud gong It echoes in my head urging me on Rivulets of salty water run down my face My hand and the knob are one As they turn slowly to open the door The door swings open Your pizza sir, that’ll be fifteen dollars
