The Candyman Downgrade
Alone in the dark, where faces fade
Alone in the dark, where nightmares are made
Alone in the dark, where minds are decayed
Alone in the dark, where life seems like a charade
In the darkness where pushers greet many with grenades
In the darkness sickness from true reality is homemade
In the darkness captives start to invade
In the darkness the candy man will invade if unpaid
Dawn is reputed by dusk as the dreaded dealer starts to pursued
The 20th century abusers start a 21st century brigade
The pusher’s demons are less fine tunes and catch a downgrade
Past abusers are treated with a millennial upgrade
Darkness is abandoned as spirituality is portrayed
Darkness spills over the numbing masquerade
Darkness plummets as abstinence is weighed
Darkness is now wandering as illumination starts to raid
Welcome to the handmade delayed drug trade
Welcome to the aggressive drug seeking fade
Welcome to the sober aid 21st century crusade
Welcome to all the unafraid to the revolutionary serenade
