The Bridge
I crossed over the bridge as it fell down.
Stranded all alone away from my home.
Sadly left stuck on the wrong side of town.
I felt overwhelmed and chilled to the bone.
I chose to cross over what a mistake!
Stranded all alone away from my home.
The bridge in shambles dropped into the lake.
Forcing me to keep on moving ahead.
I chose to cross over what a mistake.
The sign up ahead said land of the dead.
Long skeleton fingers grabbed me by the throat!
Forcing me to keep on moving ahead.
As I was led the skeleton sang a note
"I have me some flesh to add to me frame."
Long skeleton fingers held me by the throat.
From out of the darkness came a blue flame.
A brilliant color still I felt no heat.
"I have me some flesh to add to me frame."
The skeleton had someone for me to meet.
Flames rose from his body into the sky.
A brilliant color still I felt no heat.
"You came to my land I must ask why?"
He waited for me as I tried to speak.
Flames rose from his body into the sky.
"All I wanted was to take a quick peek."
"Now that you've seen it would you like to stay?"
He waited for me as I tried to speak.
I said "no disrespect but the answer's no way.
With that a tremendous city was revealed!
"Now that you've seen it would you like to stay?"
At his feet a great mutitude was kneeled.
With that a tremendous city was revealed.
I crossed over the bridge as it fell down.
It appears I've found the right side of town!
