The Beauty of An October Afternoon
The late October rain,
It is a beauty-
the raindrops cling to the ruby berries amongst leaves
that are changing to a lemon hue;
and yesterday the still reaching fingers of Summer
warmed an Autumn chill; and within a sharp breeze
the leaves of watchful trees were a flutter of wings.
