The Beautiful Sunset
Walking on the beach, I
Eagerly anticipate the sunset,
Like I've done so many times before.
I stand and watch the beautiful colors,
That paint across the sky.
I look to my love the blue of the ocean,
As I stand on the beach when my toes sink,
Into the white sands, feeling warmth and love.
I hear you behind hugging me as,
You ask, "Isn't it beautiful?"
I turn around, holding you in my arms,
As I feel the sweetest kiss.
We look to the ocean as we see,
The dolphins jump with joy.
Savoring this moment,
I open my eyes as I see the walls,
In front, realizing all I see,
Are the flat plains of Oklahoma.
I tell myself maybe One day,
I will see the ocean,
As my tears fall.
