My girl and I we headed down to Nashville. With a box of songs and all my childhood dreams. We knocked on a lot of doors that didn't answer. They didn't want my songs or so it seems. So I took a job at the local tourist center. Just to earn enough to feed my girl and me. Last night she got tired of disappointment, She left me all alone in Tennessee. At work they asked if I would write a slogan, to make people want to come to Tennessee? I wrote it in the hope that you might hear it. Maybe you'd come running back to me.
