Taking Breaths
Breathe.
Here we go again: derogatory language and fighting.
Breathe.
I told you not to speak to me but to try your best to disempower me.
Breathe.
I don't particularly appreciate yelling and don't like cursing.
Breathe.
We can talk like two adults, and can't this toxicity be enough?
Breathe.
For better or worse, with the worst days, I'm living.
Breathe.
Here I go, justify all your temper tantrums.
Breathe.
I need to leave you and get gone.
Breathe.
Why was it so hard to see my part from the start?
Breathe.
Thinking the worst in me, but you don't want to leave.
Breathe.
The games we play, the mind is forever changed.
Breathe.
Tiptoe, be careful, appease your falls.
Breathe.
I'm looking left, looking around, yet my body has stalled.
Breathe.
It's time to get to work, better days at the gym.
Breathe.
Please move to the back, as quiet as possible, and I'm putting in full-time breaking and sweating.
Breathe.
I'm feeling better, dripping away all my worries.
Breathe.
Look at me; I'm so good.
Ten laps in, miles down, I have this big Ole smile.
Breathe.
Pain and trauma, it was all a great test. I'm getting high scores and the best of the best.
One eye open, one foot forward. Taming what's in me, that is taming my beast.
Breathe.
I love all parts of me, and there is no shame in packing down.
I'm not giving in to foolery; I won't let you call me the clown.
By God, I'm blessed. I'm alchemizing for the best in me.
Breathe.
You were my worst addition, lacking any spirit or chemical substance.
Breathe.
My humanity just became too precious to me.
Breathe.
Times are turning, but I'm still young at heart.
Breathe.
I'm grateful for the most complex lesson; God continues to give me a headstart.
Breathe.
Take slow breaths. Our reaction is our karma, so instead, save all drama and create a better response that won't add to your trauma. Take Care. ??????
