Sweetest Lullaby
In the hush of twilight's embrace,
Where shadows dance and interlace,
A melody rose, soft and sweet,
A lullaby, in rhythmic beat.
In a quaint village, nestled deep,
Where dreams and silence softly creep,
A young girl, with eyes like dawn,
Sang a song as night moved on.
Her voice, a whisper through the trees,
Carried on a gentle breeze,
It wove through the cool evening air,
A symphony of tender care.
The children, with their heavy lids,
Listened closely, as she bids
Goodnight to the sun's last glow,
To the stars, they soon would know.
Sweetest lullaby, in twilight's keep,
Sway the willows, rock the deep,
Let the moon cradle the night,
In its silver, soft delight.
The song spoke of dreams to come,
Of the laughter and the hum,
Of the adventures waiting there,
In the realm of slumber's lair.
It painted skies of velvet hue,
Where wishes flutter, dreams come true,
Where the heart is brave and bold,
In the land that dreams unfold.
Sweetest lullaby, so pure, so clear,
Dissolves the worries, dries the tear,
Wraps the world in harmony,
A cocoon of tranquility.
The nightingale in her bower,
Sings her sweetest song this hour,
For every child, both far and near,
Her lullaby they hold most dear.
As stars twinkle, a celestial choir,
The fireflies dance like sparks of fire,
The universe in symphony,
Sings along in jubilee.
Sweetest lullaby, now fades away,
As sleep claiming its velvet sway,
The dreams take flight on whispered songs,
In the land where they belong.
So, rest ye now, in peaceful sleep,
While the stars their watchful vigil keep,
For in dreams, you're free to roam,
Till the morning light brings you home.
