Surrender
“In ignorance we imagine we’re the doer ~
As yet entertaining delusions of grandeur”
~ quote by poet
Each heartbeat’s impulsed by God
but strangely yet we’re not awed,
taking this gift for granted;
by our daydreams, enchanted.
The thoughts we think, in a blink
occurs solely since we link
our soul with the universe,
that patterns our rhythmic verse.
There’s nothing that we control
but we can choose to patrol
thoughts that arise and subside,
using conscience as our guide.
Mindful eye, ever alert,
in staid silence does invert
polarity of presence;
one with God’s omnipresence.
What’s silence but surrender,
trusting life’s wondrous splendour,
to enable body-mind
leaving volition behind?
With thoughts rested, ego dies,
whereupon we touch new highs,
propelled by bliss magnetism,
enlivening body prism.
Ego’s our identity,
that scars soul’s serenity
and surrender is the cure,
that soul’s ascent does ensure.
Choosing thus to step aside,
free from fear, we wingless glide,
being to become the flame,
that may be assigned no name.
