Sunflower shines with golden glow While the wind makes a gusty blow Though, the scorch of the summer sun Against its petals is not fun But, its strength is long and lasting It's like a heart that's everlasting Against the intense of the heat It will not yield its heartbeat So beautiful, yet so tough Even if the heat is rough And its crown of golden hues To craving sights brings the blues Admire a flower poetry contest Honorable mention
